Providing a Holistic Approach to Recovery

At Tacoma Recovery Center, we offer nearly thirty circle groups each week, designed to meet the unique needs of our members. These circles are known for being real, raw, and restorative—safe spaces where conversations are led by licensed staff, peer leaders, guest facilitators, or trained peer recovery coaches.

Group sizes vary based on community needs, ranging from small gatherings to larger circles. While many groups are open to all, some are closed groups that require prior screening and sign-up to ensure the right level of safety, structure, and support. Regardless of format, every group is grounded in compassion, acceptance, and dignity. New members are always welcomed with openness and encouragement.

Circle topics may be highly focused—such as managing triggers, family dynamics, or specific life challenges—or they may take the form of a simple community check-in. No matter the theme, the experience is powerful. Members speak from the heart, drawing on lived experience, collective wisdom, and the courage to change.

Because we believe your voice matters, many of our groups are peer-led. Members who have completed Peer Support or Recovery Coach training (with certification) are encouraged to facilitate circles, ensuring that authentic lived experience is always at the center of recovery. Listening, sharing, and growing together makes each group a place of strength, healing, and hope.
