Grief & Loss Support

Our Grief and Loss Support groups provide a safe and compassionate space for individuals navigating the many forms of loss—whether it be the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, loss related to substance use, displacement from a home, or financial and family hardships.

Grief is a natural response to loss yet learning how to process it and live within a new reality requires strength and support. In these groups, members are encouraged to explore the emotions and questions that accompany grief: How do I live with a broken heart? What does rejection or solitude mean in my healing journey? How do I move toward acceptance while still honoring what I’ve lost?

Facilitated by a licensed professional and supported by peers with shared experiences, these groups blend clinical guidance with authentic peer connection. Together, participants find encouragement, develop healthy coping strategies, and discover resilience in the face of life’s hardest transitions.

Confidentiality and Group Expectations

  • All groups are conducted in a confidential setting to promote openness and trust. Members are encouraged to share freely, knowing their experiences are respected and protected.
  • As with all our programs, staff are mandated reporters and will take appropriate action if someone’s safety is at risk (harm to self/others or suspected abuse/neglect).
  • Peer Support Specialists offer encouragement and shared wisdom but do not provide services outside of their scope of practice. All groups are professionally supervised to ensure ethical, safe, and supportive care.
